About UP Green League, Inc:

The UP Green League (UPGL) is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-partisan organization composed of concerned young individuals who advocate environmentalism as a way of life. UPGL aims to protect, restore, and conserve the natural environment through information dissemination campaigns and by promoting a PRO-ACTIVE consciousness regarding the present state of both local and global environment.

"Saving the Earth" is a phrase which to many may imply some grand scheme. This, however, is not necessarily so. While saving the Earth from the environmental degradation does entail a movement and even a revolution, the process itself need not be spectacular nor earth shaking. Rather, it has more to do with those little things which, when put together, contribute to the widespread environmental degradation that our country and the whole world now confront. What do we mean by these "little things"? We refer to those everyday actions, practices, and decisions which harm the environment and eventually, even ourselves. Our own actions have their consequences which at times may be more far-reaching than we realize. "Saving the Earth", therefore, is not about grand designs. It is more of changing he individual and social values, attitudes, lifestyles, and behaviors so that our own world can survive. With Mother Earth dying with each passing day, we can no longer wait -- an agent must come in to speed up the process of effecting change amidst a sense of urgency and crisis. The UPGL envisions itself as a catalyst in environmental protection, restoration, and conservation.
